Flora Flora
+Flora Flora was dreamed up by Sarah in September of 2020.
When Sarah was living in Hawaii from 2015-2018, she was up close and personal with the plastic pollution that most of us hear about but never fully witness. She saw how single-use plastics were killing the sea life and crowding the gorgeous beaches that she loved so much. On a journey to reduce her environmental impact, she started saying no to plastic bottles but wanted more from the shampoo bars she tried. She created Flora Flora to serve as a sustainable starting point without having to sacrifice product performance or aesthetics.
Flora Flora is salon-quality sustainable hair care for all. We aim to be accessible, give back, and make it so that you’ll never want to go back to the bottle.
All of Flora Flora’s hair care products are hand crafted by their team in Oceanside, California. They are made in small batches with the highest quality, sustainably sourced ingredients. Happy washing!

Ilia
+Born in Vancouver and raised in a rural, ocean-side setting just outside the city, Sasha grew up close to nature. Her younger brother and now business partner, Zac, suffered from acute asthma and allergies as a young child. Her mother, a true pioneer in health and wellness at that time, sought out homeopathic remedies to help heal her son. This included co-founding an organic food co-op with several families in the area, as organic food did not yet exist in the grocery stores. Through trial and error, Zac was healed primarily through diet. Years later after living as an adult in LA, Sasha returned home to Vancouver where her mother encouraged her to read the ingredient list on her favorite lip balm. Sasha was shocked to discover many of the ingredients were not safe, and it’s something she used daily. The challenge was set – re-create her favorite lip balm so that it would be safe, effective and natural. And so the story of ILIA began.
